Flathead Classic 2025 Launch Night Set to Kick Off Australia's Premier Fishing Event

The organising committee of the Gold Coast Flathead Classic is proud to announce the official Launch Night for the 31st annual Flathead Classic, set to take place on Thursday, August 14th at the Northern Pavilion, Southport.

Widely recognised as Australia's ultimate catch-and-release fishing tournament, the Flathead Classic attracts hundreds of anglers and families each year for four days of community, competition, and coastal adventure.

This year’s Launch Night will bring together competitors, sponsors, and local supporters for an evening of celebration, exclusive previews, and early team registrations.

Attendees will be the first to get a sneak peek at what’s to come for the 2025 Classic, including exciting announcements, new event features, and details on the prize pool valued at over $500,000.

Teams who register on the night will also receive exclusive bonuses, including limited-edition merchandise and extra entries into sponsor prize draws.

Gold Coast Sportfishing Club Vice President Darren Hudson said the Launch Night plays a key role in building momentum leading into the tournament.
